Royal Caribbean abandona 6 nomes não utilizados nos navios/Royal Caribbean leaves 6 names are not used on ships

Ao longo do tempo a companhia foi registando alguns nomes para poderem ser utilizados nos seus novos navios, contudo ao longo das últimas semanas a Royal Caribbean tem vindo a abandonar e arquivar os registos efectuados nos Estados Unidos que não foram utilizados.

 

Over time the company has registered some names for their use in their new vessels, however over the past few weeks the Royal Caribbean has to leave and archive the records made in the United States that were not used.

No passado dia 7 de Setembro a companhia abandonou os seguintes nomes que serviriam para baptizar os seus navios: Emblem of the Seas, Passion of the Seas e Pulse of the Seas. Já na semana seguinte, a 14 de Setembro, abandonou os seguintes: Apex of the Seas, Joy of the Seas e Spectrum of the Seas.

Segundo as declarações apresentadas, a razão para o abandono destes nomes por parte da companhia é a falta de uso das mesmas. Todos os seis nomes haviam sido registados entre 2012 e 2014, com o objectivo de posteriormente serem usados para navios de cruzeiros.

 

Last September 7th the company abandoned the following names that would serve to baptize their ships: Emblem of the Seas, Passion of the Seas and Pulse of the Seas. In the following week, September 14, abandoned the following: Apex of the Seas, Joy of the Seas and Spectrum of the Seas.

According to the statements made, the reason for the abandonment of these names by the company is the lack of use of them. All six names had been registered between 2012 and 2014, in order to later be used for cruise ships.

Alguns dos nomes que foram registados nestes grupos foram utilizados, como foi o caso do Quantum of the Seas, Anthem of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas e Ovation of the Seas, que dizem respeito aos últimos navios adicionados à frota da companhia ou aos que se encontram em construção.

 

Some of the names that have been registered in these groups were used, as was the case of the Quantum of the Seas, Anthem of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas and Ovation of the Seas, which relate to the last vessels added to the company's fleet or those are under construction.

A companhia tem ainda em construção um navio da classe Oasis, previsto para 2018, mas ainda sem nome atribuído. Em 2019, também sem nome, será entregue o 4º navio da classe Quantum.

 

The company also is building a ship of the Oasis class, scheduled for 2018, but still no name assigned. In 2019, also unnamed, will be delivered the 4th ship of the Quantum class.
